New Colour 04:27
New Colour They made a new colour, And adjusted their eyes, They were dismayed, When it slid from the brush, They took it to the show, Where all the people stared, You could almost feel, The air move from the gasp, And a man tore it down, Rolled it into a pipe, Shouted through it loudly, Into the street and into the park, Everyone that heard, Made a sigh of relief, They were happy to find.

To Be You 04:05
To Be You It puts the brakes onto his mood, As he calms down, Sees the light through a window pane, Flicker and hypnotise, He masquerades his face tonight, Cause time has lost its precious edge, All that he wants to be now he shares, Goes by night and takes what he can get, Meanwhile hard and whistling corners, Pierce the air through which he travels, He called this guy he wants to be, And said the things he's s'posed to say, As the paths fork out the way they do, Keep, don't say a word, just take a train, And it puts the brakes onto his mood, As he calms down, Sees the light through a window pane, Flicker and hypnotise, His hands fall down into his lap as he goes to sleep, And I saw what a shock that he'll get as he wakes up.

Take Her Down She remembers sitting down in a very public place, While her hands sweat, her head's in a diving bell, She thinks yet she can't think, Lost in between what are dreams and real, So take her down to the river and bath her, wash away her miseries, Much too much, too much for us, A hundred metres wide and two hundred long, She needs space to breath and needs to feel the breeze, There are too many people and too many lungs, breathing in the last breath she just blew out, And it's not that she doesn't want to communicate and it's not that she wants to close her doors, She thinks the problem's her, So take her down to the river and bath her, wash away her miseries, Much too much, too much for us.

You Made The Sea With the fluorescent light and the fake city backdrop, They got hitched in the town hall, By the waiting room, they lined up, Felt their hearts beat as their hands clenched, It had been so long since we spoke and so I said, You made the size of the sea seem so small, When you eloped and married, And I turned away in the past, but now I turn back around, You didn't call, just B.C.C.'d and the poses put a smile on my face, Pictures spoke like words, like the numbers of the ticket, I heard what they said and I saw what they wrote, And I'm just happy you're still here, Cause it's been a long time since we spoke and so I said, You made the size of the sea seem so small, When you eloped and married, And I turned away in the past, but now I turn back around.

Jack and Jackie There’s no surefire way to kill this bird, Said Jack to Jackie in the parlour, Who taunts and darts around the garden, While they hold hands and sip ice-cream soda, Autumn leaves fall in the twilight hours and straws push through the mixture, They took the stone and the other bird, took off down the road towards home, But how can they think what they wanna think, when everything they thought has been thought. The stone they put in the gazebo and the bird they held into the cage, As they sat and talked on the porch, decided destiny had already been played, And how can they sing their own song when the song has already been sung. It’s the little things that Jack delights in, Like the kiss on the side of her neck, It’s the little things that she sees in him, Love is their reason for living, And at night hoot the owl came, Whoosh went the tires of the milktruck, As they sat in the dark and the cold set in, They knew tomorrow would come again.
